Field Wizard vs GoCanvas
GoCanvas ends at the PDF. Field Wizard keeps going — the same record carries the parts that came off the van, the invoice and the payment link — and its reference lists are live rather than re-uploaded.
Written by us. So every line below either links to somewhere you can check it, or says plainly that GoCanvas wins it.

What GoCanvas is
A mobile forms platform for field teams, built around the same loop we are: design a form, a technician fills it in on a phone or tablet, and a branded PDF comes out the other end. It has been doing this for a long time, it has a large template library, and a great many field teams run on it happily. If you are already on GoCanvas and it is working, this page is not trying to talk you out of it.
Go and look at GoCanvas yourself →Where Field Wizard is different
Each of these is something you can confirm, not something you have to take on faith.
Field Wizard's reference data is a live table, not a synced spreadsheet. Your parts list, customer list and employee list are records the form reads when the technician opens it — edit a price in the morning and the form filled at 2pm uses the new one. Offline, it uses the last snapshot it pulled and stamps the form with when that was, so nobody is guessing whether the number is current.
How Live Data works →One list can filter another. Pick a customer and the parts dropdown narrows to that customer's approved parts, by matching a shared column you choose in the builder. No duplicate lists per customer.
Dependent dropdowns →The form is not the end of the job here. The same record carries through dispatch, parts used, an estimate, an invoice and a Stripe payment link, in one system rather than three that you integrate.
The whole loop →Our price is on the website with a seat calculator, and you can start without talking to anyone. You can also talk to someone — we would like that — but it is not the toll gate.
See the price →You can export everything and cancel yourself, from Settings, without sending an email. We would rather be easy to leave than hard to.
Trust Center →Send us the form you use today — a photo of the clipboard, a scan, a PDF, or an export from GoCanvas — and we build it for you and put it in your account inside two days. The clock is on the request, so you can see the deadline we gave ourselves.
How the build service works →Where GoCanvas beats us
If this section were empty you would be right not to believe the rest of the page.
- They have been in this market far longer and have the installed base to show for it. Ours is a young product and you should weigh that.
- Their integrations catalogue is deeper than ours. Ours is an open API and webhooks, which covers anything you are willing to wire up — but if you need a specific one-click connector today, check their list against ours before you decide.
- They have an enterprise sales and onboarding organization. If you need a named implementation manager and a procurement process, that is a real thing they have and we do not.
Which one you should pick
Choose GoCanvas if
- You are a large organization with a procurement process and need a vendor with a long reference list.
- You need a specific pre-built integration they have and we do not.
- Forms and PDFs are genuinely all you want, and you already have systems for scheduling, parts and invoicing that you are happy with.
Choose Field Wizard if
- Your reference data changes and you are tired of re-uploading it.
- You want the job — not just the form — to live in one place.
- You want to try the whole thing today, with your own data in it, before you speak to anyone.
About this page. We describe what GoCanvas is built for, not what it costs or what its plans include — those change on their schedule and we will not quote a number we have not read on their own page. Go to their site for pricing and limits, and to ours for ours, which is published with a seat calculator. Last reviewed August 2026. If something here is out of date or unfair, tell us and we will fix it.
