Collecting signatures
Two different signatures, for two different jobs.
On the form, on site
Add a signature field. The technician — or the customer, on the technician's phone — signs on the screen and it lands on the submission and on the PDF. This is the sign-off for work that just happened, and it works with no signal.
Put it last, and label it for whoever is actually signing: "Customer signature" and "Technician signature" are different things and both belong on some forms.
Remotely, on a document
Agreements and estimates can be sent for signature. The recipient opens a link, signs, and the signed document comes back with the date recorded against it. Use this for anything agreed before the work rather than during it.
What is recorded
The image of the signature, who was signed in when it was captured, and the timestamp. On a form with GPS enabled, where as well.
What this is not
This is a record that somebody signed, suitable for the ordinary run of field paperwork. If you need a specific legal standard of electronic signature for a particular jurisdiction or contract, check that standard against what is recorded here before relying on it.
Still need help?
Email Support@gofieldwizard.com and a person will answer — include your company name and, if it's about a particular form or job, its name.
