Setting up the customer portal
The portal is where a customer sees their own jobs, documents and invoices without emailing you to ask.
Turning it on
Client Portal in the main navigation. Enable it, then give a customer access from their account record.
How a customer signs in
With their email address and an access code you issue. There is no password for them to forget and no account for them to create — which matters, because a customer who has to create an account mostly does not.
What they can see
Only their own records. A customer sees the jobs, documents and invoices attached to their account and nothing else — the separation is enforced on every request, not by hiding a link.
Requests
Customers can raise a request from the portal with a description, a preferred date and a priority. It lands with you rather than in somebody's personal inbox.
Turning it off
Revoke a customer's access from the same screen. Their records stay; their way in stops working immediately.
Still need help?
Email Support@gofieldwizard.com and a person will answer — include your company name and, if it's about a particular form or job, its name.
