Start from a starter template
There are 99 starter forms across ten trades. They are complete working forms, not outlines — every one has its fields, its conditional logic and its on-submit behaviour already in it.
Finding one
Open Form Builder and browse by trade, or search by what the form captures. You can also browse the whole library on the public templates pages without signing in, which is useful if you want to check we have your paperwork before you commit an afternoon.
Using one
Choose a template and it becomes your form — a copy in your account. Editing it changes nothing for anyone else, and the original stays in the library if you want a clean one later.
What to change first
Most starters need three small edits before they fit a specific business:
1. The customer field. Point it at your own customer list so technicians pick from real accounts. 2. The parts list. If the form has one, connect it to your parts table so prices and stock are yours. 3. The wording. Trades have house terms. Use yours.
What not to do
Do not rebuild a starter from scratch to "make it ours". The logic in these — which fields appear when something fails, what gets required, what tabulates on the PDF — is the part that takes time to get right. Edit it instead.
